Dear Santa

November 30, 2009

Santa, I’ve been good this year.  Last year I chewed up the vacuum cord and nibbled a little on the laptop cord.   Last year I had a little bit too much fun with a pen and it leaked on the carpet.  Oh, and that cell phone I destroyed was a mistake.  I didn’t know how much it would cost to replace.  I even found Gorilla Glue and made my way into the fun, gooey stuff.  I watched the glue expand all over the floor, and I kind of enjoyed it… but that was last year.

This year, I’ve been better.  I think I’m finally out of my crazy stage.  I’ve followed the rules,  I learned my basic commands, and I like to sleep more than I like to chew.

I’ve been good.

Santa, I’m sorry I torture my dogs by making them do crazy things that they really, really, don’t like.

I love Christmas cards!   I was super picky when choosing my Christmas cards for my clients.  I am very happy with the end results and I know there is something for everyone.   These cards come printed both the front and the back and are sold in sets of 25.  These Holiday Cards are $45 for a set, including envelopes and can be printed on glossy or linen paper.  I like personal, so if there is something you really want your cards to say, let me know and I will see what I can do!

It’s not too late to order!  Hurry though, because as crazy as it sounds, it’s CHRISTMAS SEASON!  :)

Fa la la la la la, la la la la……

My town, here, St. Louis!

November 17, 2009

Pioneer Woman is coming to St. Louis tomorrow at 7:00.     I’m not usually big into this type of thing, but I really like this lady.  I follow her blog daily and even twitter her.  She is funny, and tells life as it truly is.  When I first bought my DSLR, I went to her website and I learned so much from her site.  She encourages her readers to get off shooting automatic, GIVE UP flash, and practice!  Her food blog is also great.  I will warn you though, if you want to eat like she does, I suggest getting a gym membership because she uses ingredients such as cream and bacon in almost everything!

When I saw this, I was so excited!

The problem is…I’ve been sick in bed since Friday night!  I have been fever free for three hours, I hope it lasts so I can go!  Right now, it’s not looking too good.  :(   Shawn has promised me that if I can’t go tomorrow, he will take me on a road trip and we can see her somewhere else.  Alright, he didn’t promise me that, but that would be nice!!!

I did it!

Many of you have probably been reading for so long about how I’ve been in major need of a fast computer.  Something that can hold all of my photography, have a bright screen, and true color.   I asked everyone for their opinions and then finally decided, I would switch to Apple.

I saved, saved, and then saved some more.  I researched, and researched, and researched some more.  I knew what I wanted and then I waited until all the bugs were fixed. Finally, last night, I bought my very own 27 inch imac.  Only to find out…my computer wasn’t working properly.  What a BUMMER.

How funny is it that Apple has been mocking Microsoft on all their commercials?  In my opinion, they should pull that commercial (that they play every 20 minutes) until they fix their own mistakes.

Hopefully tomorrow I either have a computer that works or money in my pocket.   I’m hoping for one that works because the computer itself is fabulous!

We’ll see what happens!

Cathy, Ryan, and Logan.

November 11, 2009

This family’s session had to be rescheduled earlier this fall due to the massive amounts of rain St. Louis was hit with.  Being my cousin, Cathy stepped up to the plate on short notice.

Another family with a toddler.  Love it.

Logan’s grandpa is in a band and Logan is very into it!

There was a guy walking around with big sunglasses and a leather jacket.  Logan yelled, “Hey, the bands here!”.

More coming soon!

Here is a funny picture.  My hair is so short and my brother looks hilarious! Part of the reason I put this up is for my brother to see it.  Ahhaha.  Oh, and I promise I have normal feet.  The water in this picture makes them look like monster toes!

Here are two of the very best dogs ever, Millie and Otis.  Otis is the bigger one, who was infatuated with my mom.  Millie is the smaller one who was attached to my dad.  If Mom was in the front yard, that’s where Otis would be.  If Dad was in the back field, that’s where Millie would be.  This picture reminds me why I want to have two dogs again.

Mike and I even had a wedding for them.

No, our parents didn’t let us keep one.  Two of my aunts, and my grandpa took one though.  Maybe this picture will remind mom why she needs a dog again. ;)   On a side note, all dogs were AKC registered, so no, we didn’t have an accidental litter.  (I felt the need to say that.)

Ok, so the story about Duke.  Duke was our pony and he was quite the escape artist.  Family, please feel free to comment if I am leaving a part out of the story.  (Not that you wouldn’t already.  :) )

Here is the story, as I remember it…

So, my brother and I were sleeping over at our Aunt Gerl’s house for the night, probably so my parents could get some Christmas shopping done.  When we woke up in the morning, our aunt said that on Channel 5 (again if this is wrong, let me know), that there was a horse on Highway 109.  Gerl called my parents, just to see if possibly, it could be ours.  Keep in mind, in 1996, there were way more horses than houses in “Wildwood”, as we call it now.  Well sure enough it was our pony!  Dad had to go around looking for him, hoping he wouldn’t jump in front of someone’s car.

Where was Duke hiding out?  Dad found Duke, tied up in someones back yard, in the brand new subdivision a few miles down the road.    When Dad went to go get him, the little girl whose house it was thought she was getting a pony for Christmas.  So there was dad, taking away her Christmas present.  The funniest thing about the whole story, is thinking about how Dad had to walk Duke home through a neighborhood!!!

Happy Fall.

November 8, 2009

Ok, so I was terrible on the blog-post-a day thing.  I would blame me being super busy on that…but quite frankly, even if I was totally busy I would still post.  Can I blame it on me not wanting to scan images?  Ok, I will do that.  Allll posts are better with a picture, so I couldn’t post a story without a picture.  Those pictures are coming THIS WEEK.

Here is a peek into our day today.  Lots of blog posts this week, I PROMISE this time.  That means I’ll do it, because if you know me, I don’t break a promise.  :)

Happy Fall.
